Swinburne Board of Research Grant Programs
The Board of Research, which is chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), allocates funds to a number of activities for research and research training. The Board has an Internal Grants Subcommittee which determines funding allocations for the Board’s Researcher Development Scheme, Visiting Fellows Scheme, and the Research Infrastructure and Equipment Fund Scheme. Current Schemes - Applications Closed
- Visiting Professor Award Scheme The Visiting Professor Award Scheme is an internal competitive research grant program. The scheme aims to encourage eligible research groups to attract suitable national or international researchers for short term visits to the University.
- ARC Linkage Projects Encouragement Scheme The ARC Linkage-Projects Encouragement Scheme aims to encourage Swinburne academic staff to submit high quality applications to the ARC Linkage Projects Grants Scheme.
- Special Studies Program The Swinburne Special Studies Program is an internal competitive scheme for academics, providing release from normal duties for an uninterrupted period of time in order to undertake an approved program of research-related scholarly activity or professional development. Funds for the Program have been allocated from the Vice-Chancellor's Strategic Initiative Program.
- Research Infrastructure and Equipment Fund Scheme Funds for this Scheme are derived from the University's research infrastructure levy on external research grants. The Scheme is designed to provide funding for large equipment and infrastructure which cannot be obtained through the ARC LIEF or similar programs where matching funding is needed or where the equipment must be shared with other institutions.
- Researcher Development Scheme The Swinburne Researcher Development Scheme is an internally competitive research support scheme aimed at supporting early career and mid career researchers that display clear evidence of high research capacity.
